Revisited this album from when I had the LP. Forgot how good it was. They put a lot of energy in the music. The band is super tight under Paul Schafer's direction. The horns are great. This was a great follow-up to Briefcase Full of Blues. Highly recommend this album. Also get the Soundtrack to /5(66).

He is a multiple Grammy Award and Blues Music Award winner and one of the highest profile blues artists on the scene. He has recorded with the likes of BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Huey Lewis and Branford Marsalis. JLW is called a 'living legend' in the cover story of the current Blues Revue. He says however, 'the best is yet to come.'.

Some blues album covers are memorable because they are awful and clearly bereft of artistic endeavour. You decide if that’s the case with Chuck Berry ’s track second LP for Chess.

Lou's Blues Revue, Louisville, Kentucky. likes. A terrific Louisville-based Blues/Rock band. Thanks for coming out!Played a lot of classic blues and bluesy rock and even had to pull out some classic ACDC to end the night! We play again next on October 8th at Loui Louis Detroit style pizza. 3. 1.

King is as timeless and elegant as the music of Duke Ellington, recorded decades earlier. Whether knee deep in a ballad like “Darlin’ You Know I Love You,” or the powerful “The Thrill Is Gone,” King and company don’t miss a step.
