SRC Black Sheep is an awesome compilation of 19 songs from a great, obscure band from the late 60's/early 70's. My brother and I are big fans of this band and owned their first 3 vinyl albums. The prohibitive prices on their CD's prevented us from obtaining them. But when I saw Black Sheep at normal CD price, I jumped on it/5(8).

Found this SRC record in first one to find in 15 years of collecting. Was a USA stereo pressing, then found a Canadian pressing a few months later. This is almost on par with their first LP and a true progression in sound too, they sound just as solid but a little different. As has been said, a group well ahead of their time. I don't give this LP a full 5 stars, like I gave the first LP.

Milestones first appeared at a time when AM radio was still king in the USA. Some late 60s songs such as Norman Greenbaum's Spirit In The Sky were too controvesial--many Christians found it offensive--and songs such as SRC's In The Hall Of The Mountain King/Bolero were just too long at over six minutes. Both are great songs and very collectible/5(19).

SRC's second album isn't radically different from their debut, but it certainly captures the group in more comfortable and energized form. Rather than go back into the studio, the members of SRC used their recording advance to build a recording setup in their rehearsal space, and on Milestones, the group seems more willing to push the songs in a harder and faster direction without losing touch Price: $
